stylish and tranquil rooms

The Lonnen is a traditional old stone-built Northumbrian cottage. It's located down a private track so offers peace and tranquility, beautiful views and plenty of luxurious features to ensure you enjoy your stay.

There is a separate entrance to our guest rooms, allowing you to come and go as you please. I'm always around and happy to help - but you can be as independent as you like once you arrive!

The rooms are light and airy and use fabrics from a local designer, Charlotte Gaisford. There's a private modern shower room with a toilet, sink, large shower and fluffy towels. It should include everything you need for a relaxing break, including White Company toiletries.

There is a pantry area in the corner of the room - there's a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, small fridge (with fresh milk), a selection of hot drinks, bread and cereal. We use coffee pods from Coffee & Kin, a local small business. I also leave a freshly baked cake for when you arrive - so make sure you check the 'Treats' tin!

There is a fold-out table where you can enjoy breakfast overlooking the fields and animals. It could also be used for work if needed. We have a beautiful outdoor seating area for guests, which boasts views of Simonside and Northumberland National Park.

There is free wifi for guests. There is also a smart TV and a range of information about local amenities, restaurants and attractions in both rooms.

Although the rooms are completely separate, they do work well when booked together for friends or families.
